Colorado Springs Pitcher Racks Up Outstanding Pitcher Award Saturday, October 13th, 2018 The National Conference Outstanding Pitcher Award winner has been chosen and the trophy goes to Colorado Springs hurler Miguel Gonzalez for his outstanding season in 2018. Gonzalez was quite impressive with a 15-3 record and a 3.72 ERA. In 26 starts and 145 innings, he struck out 135 and gave up 132 hits and 40 walks. Teams hit .243 against him. He received 25 first place votes out of a possible 30. Blake Wood of the New Orleans Baby Cakes finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Chih-Wei Hu of the Louisville Bats finished third with 1 first place vote.
