Anderson Selected AC's Best Player Sunday, October 14th, 2018 Brian W. Anderson took AAA by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 25. For his spectacular campaign, the Fresno Grizzlies star has been named the 2018 American Conference Most Valuable Player Award recipient. "To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the third baseman. On the season he compiled a .336 batting average to go with a .445 on-base percentage. The native of Edmond, Oklahoma also added 26 doubles, 1 triple, 22 home runs, 76 RBIs and 87 runs scored. He received 26 first place votes out of a possible 30. Matt Chapman of the Columbus Clippers finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Cory Spangenberg of the Nashville Sounds finished third with 3 first place votes.
