5-Hit Blitz by Charlotte's Morneau Tuesday, May 1st, 2018 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Charlotte's Justin Morneau made it happen today against the Storm Chasers. Everything came together at the plate for the 36-year-old first baseman as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and led the Knights to a 9-6 win at Werner Park. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Morneau said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Justin Morneau hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. For the year Morneau has hit at a .398 clip with 18 RBIs, 3 home runs and 14 runs scored. |
