Brendan Rodgers walloped 5 hits in 5 at-bats for the Memphis Redbirds in a career day at AutoZone Park today, but it was the Lehigh Valley IronPigs who won the ballgame, 8-3. "My swing was really, really there today," Rodgers said afterward. "I made some good, solid contact and when that happens, good things happen. And hey, 5-for-5 and losing is better than 0-for-5 and losing, right?" Brendan Rodgers hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Rodgers is hitting .352 this year with 13 home runs and 42 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .400, 14 walks and scored 42 times. |
