Fuentes Goes 5-for-5 Against Reno Monday, July 9th, 2018 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Josh Fuentes today -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Greater Nevada Field and paced the Dodgers to a 18-4 win over the Reno Aces. After his dynamite batting performance, the Oklahoma City first baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. Josh Fuentes singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and walked in the 9th. For the season, Fuentes is hitting at a .327 clip with 10 home runs, 52 RBIs and has scored 53 runs. He has 102 hits, 20 walks and a .380 on-base percentage. |
