Rodgers Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Tuesday, July 10th, 2018 Brendan Rodgers, second baseman for the Memphis Redbirds, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 1 hit in his club's 13-0 victory today over the Indianapolis Indians at Victory Field today. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Brendan Rodgers grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and struck out in the 8th. This season Rodgers is hitting at a .350 pace with 15 home runs, 55 RBIs and has scored 51 times. |
