Perkins Bashes 5 Base Hits Saturday, July 28th, 2018 All game long, Columbus's Cam Perkins was rattling the walls at Coca-Cola Field and banging out base hits against the Buffalo Bisons. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Clippers had a 25-3 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 27-year-old left fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Cam Perkins hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, was hit by a pitch in the 5th, walked in the 6th, tripled in the 7th, hit a two-run single in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th. This year Perkins is batting .257 with 7 home runs. He has scored 42 runs and driven in 52. |
