Rios Has 20-Game Hitting Streak Sunday, July 29th, 2018 The hot bat of RailRiders first baseman Edwin Rios continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 20 games after he went 2-for-4 in today's 12-8 loss to the Tides at PNC Field. "I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Edwin Rios singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, walked in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. This year Rios is batting .256 with 15 home runs and 47 RBIs. In 97 games he has scored 52 times. |
