Munoz's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Saturday, August 11th, 2018 Yairo Munoz's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 20 games. The Sacramento third baseman smacked 1 hit against the Oklahoma City Dodgers in today's game at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the River Cats drop the game, 7-0. "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Yairo Munoz flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. This season Munoz is hitting .312 with 140 hits, 10 home runs, 61 RBIs, scored 68 runs and played in 110 games. |
