Anderson Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games

Brian W. Anderson extended his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games today in the Fresno 2-0 triumph over the Toledo Mud Hens. The 25-year-old Grizzlies third baseman collected 2 hits in 4 at-bats.
"Of course it's going to end," he said. "I'm just enjoying it until then." Brian W. Anderson struck out in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Wilmer Font in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.
Looking at his stats this year, Anderson has compiled a .332 batting average, while hitting 20 home runs and driving in 70 runs. He has played in 116 games and scored 78 runs.
