No Hits for Tomlinson, Streak Ends at 20
Friday, August 31st, 2018
For once, it was the Scranton WB RailRiders picking up the slack for Kelby Tomlinson.

The club's "offensive catalyst," as Scranton WB manager has frequently called him, went uncharacteristically silent today and saw his 20-game hitting streak snapped by the Buffalo Bisons. Tomlinson was bailed out by the rest of the RailRiders, however, who stopped the Bisons, 12-1.

The 28-year-old second baseman finished the day 0-for-5, and told reporters at the postgame press conference that "everybody did their job but me."

"Not that it was a huge problem -- we still won the game," he said with a grin. "The streak was a good run though. I'll try to start another one tomorrow."

Tomlinson is currently batting .348 with 3 home runs and 22 RBIs.
