2018 NC Outstanding Pitcher Award Announced Monday, October 15th, 2018 The National Conference announced today that Michael Kopech has been chosen the Outstanding Pitcher Award winner for 2018. The Hartford starter had everything working for him this past season as he soared to a 15-2 record. In his exceptional season Kopech chalked up a 1.93 ERA in 181.2 innings with 192 strikeouts and 64 walks. Enemy teams hit .172 against him in his 32 starts. He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. A.J. Puk of the Hartford Yard Goats finished second in voting, while Josh Sborz of the Binghamton Rumble Ponies finished third.
