Razor-Sharp Gonzalez Blanks Corpus Christi Wednesday, July 4th, 2018 The Portland Sea Dogs bested the Corpus Christi Hooks 4-0 today behind the 6-hit pitching of left-hander Victor Gonzalez. The Portland hurler had 4 strikeouts and 1 walk in going the distance. "Pitching 9 innings is never easy, but it's rewarding on a day like today," Gonzalez said. On the season Gonzalez has compiled a 3-4 mark with a 3.41 ERA in 15 starts. In pitching 87 innings he has 55 strikeouts and 45 walks while limiting the opposition to a .232 batting average. |
