Lopez Shackles Frisco Thursday, July 26th, 2018 The Akron RubberDucks shut out the Frisco RoughRiders 1-0 today behind the strong pitching of Yoan Lopez. Lopez surrendered only 3 hits in recording the complete-game victory, and struck out 10. Following the last out, Lopez appeared to celebrate a little too boisterously for Frisco manager , who could be seen scolding the famously outspoken right-hander as the clubs left the field. Lopez's own manager then intervened with some words for his counterpart. The RoughRiders skipper would not comment on the exchange, but at the RubberDucks press conference, Lopez confirmed that it was regarding the celebration. "He basically told me I was being a lousy winner," Lopez said. "And I told him he was being a lousy loser," Akron manager added. For the year Lopez has a 8-2 record with a 3.04 ERA in 20 starts. |
