Naturals End Dawson's Streak Thursday, July 26th, 2018 It was the best of both worlds for the Northwest Arkansas Naturals today at Arvest Ballpark, as they defeated the Trenton Thunder 6-5 and also snapped Ronnie Dawson's 20-game hitting streak. The 23-year-old Trenton left fielder failed to get a hit in 7 at-bats. "Nothing personal against Dawson, we just wanted to win the game," said Naturals skipper . "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing." When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Dawson frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won." In 2018 Dawson has hit at a .299 clip with 108 hits, 13 home runs, 45 RBIs and has scored 63 times. |
