Gray 5-for-5 Against Cardinals Wednesday, August 1st, 2018 No matter what the Springfield Cardinals threw at him today, Tristan Gray hit it. He easily handled Cardinals pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Braves to a 49-1 triumph at Hammons Field. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Gray's quip, Cardinals skipper said he "would take him up on that next time." Tristan Gray walked in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, walked in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run single in the 7th, walked in the 8th and walked in the 9th. In the current season, Gray has put up a .252 batting average with 77 hits, 5 home runs, 44 runs batted in and scored 33 runs. |
