Hot Bat Cooled, Duenez Hitless Against Sea Dogs Wednesday, August 15th, 2018 Arkansas defeated Portland 6-1 today at Dickey-Stephens Park, but saw the 23-game hitting streak of Travelers first baseman Samir Duenez snapped -- the Sea Dogs held Duenez hitless in 3 at-bats. "I enjoyed the streak," he said in a BNN interview after the game. "It's great in one way, but the day-to-day pressure to keep it going can be tough to handle, too. The main thing is we got the win today. That's all that really counts." So far this season Duenez is batting .369 with 6 home runs. |
