De La Cruz Gets Shutout Sunday, August 26th, 2018 In an excellent mound performance, Oscar De La Cruz of the Pensacola Blue Wahoos whitewashed the Mississippi Braves 6-0 on a 2-hitter. "I had my best stuff and did a good job of mixing up my pitches," he said after the game. In all, the Pensacola hurler rang up 6 strikeouts and 2 walks in the shutout win. "We just didn't swing the bats well today," said Braves manager . "De La Cruz did a good job keeping us guessing." So far this season De La Cruz has a 12-3 record, 25 starts, 146.2 innings, 124 strikeouts and a 3.44 ERA. |
