AC Star of the Week Announced Monday, August 27th, 2018 At the age of 26, Mike Gerber might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Akron left fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .541 batting average. For his efforts Gerber collected the American Conference Player of the Week Award. He racked up 20 hits in 37 at-bats, no home runs and 14 RBIs last week in 8 games. On the year Gerber has hit .297 with 25 home runs, 108 RBIs and scored 75 runs. |
