August's Best AC Hitter is Mike Gerber Saturday, September 1st, 2018 For a rookie just breaking in, Mike Gerber certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the AC Batter of the Month award for August. The 26-year-old left fielder for the Akron RubberDucks hit .410 with 6 home runs, 35 RBIs and 23 runs scored. For the season Gerber has produced 149 hits in 500 at-bats for a .298 average with 26 home runs and gotten on base at a .378 clip. |
