Calica 5-for-7 Against Springfield Sunday, September 2nd, 2018 Andrew Calica did a number on the Cardinals in the Pensacola 25-4 victory today, and the number was 5. The Blue Wahoos center fielder banged out 5 hits in 7 at-bats at Hammons Field to lead his club past the Springfield Cardinals. "I felt good in the batter's box today," he said later. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Andrew Calica singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th, walked in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. For the season Calica is currently batting .336 with 8 home runs and 66 RBIs. In 115 games he has reached base at a .448 rate and scored 92 runs to date. |
