Akin Wins Award for NC Dominance
Wednesday, October 10th, 2018
Keegan Akin said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 23 years old.

But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Lancaster JetHawks rising star has won the National Conference Reliever of the Year for 2018.

He captured the award on the strength of his 1.59 ERA over 56.2 innings. He also had 37 saves in 60 relief appearances, 79 strikeouts and only 13 walks.

He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Seth Elledge of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes finished second in voting, while Edward Cabrera of the Jupiter Hammerheads finished third.
