Wednesday, June 6th, 2018
Ray Castro of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans spun his magic on the Bradenton Marauders today. He blanked them 6-0 on 4 hits, registering 3 strikeouts and 1 walk.

"The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Castro said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down."

Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, Myrtle Beach skipper said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations."

"Ray pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said.

This season Castro has worked 52.2 innings with 11 strikeouts en route to a 3-5 record and a 7.35 ERA.
