JetHawks Pitching Ravaged by Didder
Monday, July 2nd, 2018
After a 5-hit effort to lead Carolina's 9-7 victory over the Lancaster JetHawks, shortstop Ray-Patrick Didder told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day."
"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the A-level is really something special."
The 23-year-old player earned his accolades today at The Hanger with a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the JetHawks.
"His swing is getting there," said Mudcats skipper , who spoke glowingly of Didder after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Ray-Patrick did that to perfection today."
Ray-Patrick Didder singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
Didder is batting at a .333 pace this season, picking up 43 hits in 129 at-bats with 6 home runs, 21 RBIs and 22 runs scored.
