Donadio Sensational, 5-for-5 Friday, August 3rd, 2018 Mike Donadio exploded for a barrage of base hits today at George M. Steinbrenner Field. The Tampa left fielder had a field day in the 16-5 triumph over the Buies Creek Astros, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Donadio must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Mike Donadio singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. Thus far this season in 100 games Donadio is batting .301 with 6 home runs, 63 RBIs and 51 runs scored. He has 114 hits in 379 at-bats. |
