Sandoval Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Monday, August 13th, 2018 Ariel Sandoval, right fielder for the Fort Myers Miracle, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 3 hits in his club's 5-2 victory today over the Modesto Nuts at Hammond Stadium today. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Ariel Sandoval grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th and doubled in the 7th. This year Sandoval is hitting at a .376 pace with 10 home runs and 91 RBIs. He has played in 106 games and scored 101 times. |
