Ray Finally Fails, Streak Ends at 21 Thursday, August 16th, 2018 Corey Ray's 21-game hitting streak was snapped today at Roger Dean Stadium. The 23-year-old Palm Beach Cardinals center fielder failed to get a hit in 2 at-bats in the game against the Lake Elsinore Storm, but Palm Beach came out the winner, 4-2. "I don't think the streak was ever a big deal to Corey," Cardinals manager said after the game. "He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames." So far this season Ray is batting .295 with 1 home run. |
