Sanchez Tosses No-No Against Marauders Friday, August 17th, 2018 In a dominant outing, Ricardo Sanchez of the Palm Beach Cardinals totally silenced the bats of the Bradenton Marauders, finishing with a no-hitter. In the Cardinals' 9-0 victory, Sanchez faced only 29 batters, surrendered no hits, had 14 strikeouts and 2 walks. "Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Palm Beach manager said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any." Commenting on the defeat, losing manager told reporters in the clubhouse that he had a "simple" analysis of the game. "The Cardinals had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Sanchez pitched a heck of a ballgame." Checking out his stats for the season, Sanchez has notched 10 wins and 4 losses in 23 starts, 3.10 ERA and struck out 178 batters in 130.2 innings. |
