Sandoval Goes Hitless, Streak Stopped at 26 Tuesday, August 21st, 2018 It just wasn't Ariel Sandoval's day. The Fort Myers Miracle took the 2-0 win today over the Lynchburg Hillcats, but the Hillcats mound staff did what nobody else could -- they stopped the 26-game hitting streak of Miracle right fielder Ariel Sandoval. "We might have focused a bit too much on stopping Sandoval," Lynchburg manager commented afterward. "He had a nice hitting streak going, but the Miracle have other hitters and they did their job today." In his 2018 season totals, Sandoval has 10 home runs, .372 BA, .464 OBP, 97 RBIs and 105 runs scored. |
