Barnes Raps Winston-Salem for 5 Hits Saturday, August 25th, 2018 Jared Barnes was sizzling at the plate today. In a game played at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium, the Wilmington catcher blistered the Winston-Salem Dash for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace his club to a 20-4 victory. "Barnes was too tough to get out today," Dash skipper said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Jared Barnes hit a solo-shot off Osvaldo Berrios in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and walked in the 8th. Thus far this season Barnes has hit .358 with 8 home runs, 46 RBIs and scored 43 times. |
