Rowdy Players Suspended by League Thursday, August 30th, 2018 Jason Pineda of Clearwater and Sam Carlson of Visalia were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Pineda will have to miss 3 games for his part in the brawl, while Carlson was given 7 games. League officials announced their suspensions today. This season Pineda is batting .233 with 104 hits, 9 home runs, 50 RBIs, 41 walks, .301 OBP and has scored 35 runs. He has played in 124 games. In 27 starts this season Carlson has notched a 9-8 record and a 4.68 ERA. |
