Coyle on Fire: 5-for-5 for Lakeland Saturday, September 1st, 2018 No matter what the Buies Creek Astros threw at him today, Sean Coyle hit it. He easily handled Astros pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Flying Tigers to a 23-6 triumph at Joker Marchant Stadium. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Coyle's quip, Astros skipper said he "would take him up on that next time." Sean Coyle walked in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Antonio Hernandez in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This year Coyle is hitting .345 with 39 hits, 4 home runs, 35 RBIs and has scored 31 runs. |
