Giants Walk It Off for 25th Win of Season
|
AT&T Park was the site of an exciting ballgame between the San Francisco Giants and the Atlanta Braves.
Kyle Schwarber made an impact in the 8-7 San Francisco win over Atlanta. Schwarber, who is on pace for 117 RBI this season, went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. San Francisco reliever Luke Leftwich picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Michael Lorenzen took the loss.
Schwarber had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a 2-2 slider from Michael Lorenzen, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Giants a 8-7 lead. It was the 12th home run of the year for Schwarber.
"Put a star next to this win," Schwarber said.
The Giants are now 25-25, while the Braves fall to 21-31.
