Schoop Slugs Dodgers to 5-1 Win
|
Jonathan Schoop made an impact in the 5-1 Los Angeles win over Pittsburgh. Schoop went 3-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Los Angeles is now riding a 3-game win streak.
The Dodgers got a big at-bat from right fielder Mookie Betts. For the game, Betts was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. In the top of the first, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Los Angeles a 1-0 lead.
"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Betts told the Los Angeles Times.
