Pirates Stumble, Lose to Reds
|
The Cincinnati Reds dealt the Pittsburgh Pirates a 9-2 loss at Great American Ball Park. Robinson Cano was the star on offense. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Cincinnati starter Danny Salazar was credited with the win after throwing 92 pitches over 6.2 innings. His record now stands at 5-2. The second-place Reds raised their record to 29-25.
Cano had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the third inning, when he hit a double. The Reds went on to win.
