Diamondbacks Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Dodgers
|
Arizona used a superb performance from starting pitcher Freddy Peralta to down the Los Angeles Dodgers, 3-1. With the victory, the Diamondbacks record now stands at 31-31.
Socrates Brito was the walk-off hero for Arizona. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Diamondbacks pinch hitter hit a dramatic 2-run home run to send the teams home.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Arizona manager Mike Arnold said.
