Cleveland designated hitter Matt Carpenter had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 8-1 win over the Minnesota Twins. Minnesota's current losing streak is now 5 games.

Christian Yelich put Cleveland in front, 5-0, when he took Reynaldo Lopez downtown. His 3-run home run came with two out in the bottom of the fifth. It was his 19th home run of the season.

"There's a lot of passion in our clubhouse," said Carpenter. "When we put it together we're a great ball club."
