Victory Pushes Brewers Record to 41-26
Spirited fans at Minute Maid Park greeted the Houston Astros for their clash with the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Milwaukee Brewers got a good effort from starter Lance McCullers Jr. in defeating the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park. The final score was 5-2. McCullers Jr., now 5-0, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing 2 earned runs.

Milwaukee used the bat of Gary Sanchez to get the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Brewers ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"I liked his command," said Milwaukee manager David Mendel. "Lance was throwing strikes."

Milwaukee improves to 41-26 with the win. They lead their division by 6½ games.
