Diamondbacks Edge Past Giants, 4-3
|
San Francisco got a terrific performance from pitcher Pablo Lopez, but it wasn't enough to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks. Arizona won the Chase Field contest, 4-3. Lopez was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 8 innings of 6-hit ball. The second-place Diamondbacks have won 4 straight games.
Arizona took a 4-3 lead on Tyler Wade's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run came off San Francisco pitcher Chris Devenski in the bottom of the 13th.
"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Wade said.
