Diamondbacks Get Road Win, 6-1
|
The exploits of left fielder Josh Reddick, who is tied for 6th in the NL in doubles with 21, helped the Arizona Diamondbacks defeat the San Francisco Giants, 6-1. Reddick was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Max Fried picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed 1 earned run on 3 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 6. On the season, he is now 8-6. Arizona bumps their record to 41-43 with the win.
Reddick's key contribution came in the top of the second when he sent a first pitch fastball into right for a 2-run home run. It put the Diamondbacks ahead, 2-0.
Reddick told a Arizona Today reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
