The Arizona Diamondbacks wasted an inspired, 6.1-inning effort from starter Dinelson Lamet, falling 2-1 to the San Francisco Giants at AT&T Park. San Francisco reliever Luke Leftwich picked up the win, upping his record to 5-0. Dinelson Lamet took the loss. At 36-47, the Giants are currently 4th in the National League West Division.
San Francisco took a 2-1 lead on Tyler Naquin's 6th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Arizona pitcher Dinelson Lamet in the bottom of the seventh.
Naquin called the win "a collective effort."
