The winning pitcher was Buehler, now 2-5. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 8. New York is 39-48 and Tampa Bay, with the loss, 48-41.
New York used the timely hitting of Jose Abreu to capture the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Yankees on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
