Cardinals Squelch Giants Offense in Shutout Win
|
St. Louis right-hander Chris Bassitt was in fine form, shutting out the San Francisco Giants, 5-0. St. Louis currently is in last place in the National League Central Division at 34-55.
Ozzie Albies was vital part of the St. Louis win. He went 2 for 5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the fifth with two out, Albies hit a 2-run double. It made the score 2-0, in favor of the Cardinals.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Bassitt.
