Washington shortstop Chris Taylor had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 5-4 win over the Colorado Rockies. The winner was Michael Wacha in relief. His record improves to 5-12. Rafael De Paula took the loss. The Nationals go to 53-48, putting them 4th in the National League East Division.
Helping the Washington cause was Yulieski Gurriel. In the bottom of the tenth, the 35-year old third baseman had a run-scoring single to make the score 5-4, Nationals.
"Our team showed some gumption," said Gurriel. "I like it."
