Indians Subdue Los Angeles, 5-3
|
The Cleveland Indians reigned over the Los Angeles Angels in damp conditions at Progressive Field.
Starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard pitched well enough to help the Cleveland Indians beat the Los Angeles Angels by the score of 5-3. Cleveland leads the American League Central Division by 7 games.
Steven Souza Jr. had a big 3-run home run for the Indians in the bottom of the third inning. With Cleveland leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Trevor Bauer and stroked the home run to left. It was his 21st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Indians ahead, 5-0.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Syndergaard.
