Schwarber Slugs Giants to 9-3 Win
|
A 4-RBI performance from Kyle Schwarber, who is tied for 6th in the NL in RBI with 70, helped the San Francisco Giants beat the Colorado Rockies, 9-3. San Francisco reliever Carlos Alejandro Ramirez picked up the win, bumping his record to 7-0. Jon Harris was collared with the loss. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Giants.
Schwarber had no bigger at-bat than in the top of the fourth when the 26-year old left fielder hit a 2-run home run. The home run gave San Francisco the lead, 4-2. It was his 27th home run of the season.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Schwarber said.
