Orioles Walk It Off for 69th Win of Season
|
Houston third baseman Colin Moran had a good game, even if his team did not. The Astros dropped a 5-4 decision to Baltimore at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Moran was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. The win was credited to Carlos Estevez in relief. His record improves to 5-1. Chris Rusin took the loss. Baltimore is now 69-49, 3 games up in the American League East Division.
With the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth, Joey Votto delivered the knockout blow when he hit a run-scoring single to win it for Baltimore. In the contest, Votto went 1-5.
"A great team win and something real positive we can build on," said Votto after the game.
