Querecuto Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Atlanta in Walk-Off Win
|
Miami third baseman Miguel Andujar was sensational. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Atlanta beat the Marlins, 7-6. Andujar was named the player of the game despite the loss. Atlanta reliever Chad Sobotka picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Blake Treinen took the loss. The Braves now have a mark of 57-73.
Juniel Querecuto drove in one run for Atlanta. The 26-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the tenth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Blake Treinen. It was his 11th RBI of the season.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Querecuto told reporters after the game.
