Royals Beat Visiting Astros, 10-4
|
The Kansas City Royals topped the Houston Astros by the score of 10-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to designated hitter Jesse Winker. Winker went 3 for 5 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs for the Royals on the day. Chris Sale picked up the win, improving his season record to 18-5. He struck out 5 in 6 innings. The losing streak for Houston has now reached 5 games.
Lonnie Chisenhall had a big 2-run single for the Royals in the bottom of the third inning. With Kansas City leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Adonis Medina and stroked the single to left-center.
