Corbin K's 10 En Route to 2-0 Pirates Win
|
The Pittsburgh Pirates picked up a win at Wrigley Field, knocking off the Chicago Cubs, 2-0. Starting pitcher Patrick Corbin was an essential part of his team's success. Seranthony Dominguez was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 19 of 21 save opportunities. At 64-86, the Pirates are currently third in the National League Central Division.
Corbin made it look easy. He scattered 3 hits over 7 innings, while racking up 10 strikeouts. The left-hander upped his season record to 6-10.
"I just made my pitches," said Corbin, "and the ball kept missing the bat."
